1922 He was born in Madrid with Aragon lineage.
1936 During the Spanish Civil War Miguel Herrero remained in Madrid, Spain.
1937 The artist began his "Bachiller" studies in Los Salesianos
1942 He joins the National Geographic Insitute as a topographer.
1943 He started his drawing studies with Ramón Puyol and Vázquez Díaz.
1946 The artist joins the "Escuela Superior" of Fine Arts in San Fernando in Madrid.
1949 He obtained his Diploma in Fine Arts by "Escuela Superior" of Fine Arts.
1952 First solo exhibitions of 25 artworks in Galaría Xagra, Madrid with Pío Barajo, Ataulfo Argenta and Vicente Aleixandre attendance.
1953 Miguel Herrero was invited to Magdalena Art Courses in Santander with Zabaleta, Pancho Cossío, Martínez Novillo, Gaya Nuño and Camón Aznar.
1953 Group exhibition in Galería Estilo (Madrid) for the II Spanish-American Bienal of Art in La Habana (Cuba) with Menchu Gal, Clavo, Viola y Martínez Novillo.

Solo exhibition in Palacio Magdalena in Santander invited by Manuel Fraga Iribarne. He also participated in the elaboration and preparation of the exhibition.

1954 He was invited to 8th Contemporary Problems Summer Courses by the principal of Universidad Internacional Menendez Pelayo Manuel Fraga Iribarne. He participated in the elaboration and preparation of the exhibition.
1954 Miguel Herrero travelled to France to visit some museums where he was influenced by Degas' theme of dance and Rouault technique.

1956 He was the scriptwriter of "La vida dramática de un pintor, Solana" film.
1956 Miguel Herrero first meeting with Pablo Picasso in Arles, sharing with him the tauromachy fondness.

1958 Herrero organized the greatest flamenco meeting to pay tribute to the flamenco singer "El Chaqueta" in Teatro de la Comedia. Performances participating in the event: De Vicente, Escudero, Mariermma, Antonio "El Bailarín", Pilar López, Antonio Mairena, Jacinto Almadén and Fosforito.

1994 Miguel Herrero died in Córdoba in December receiving condolences of The Royal Majesties Kings of Spain, the Major of Madrid city and the Minister of Culture. 
1995 The relatives elaborated a project to create a foundation, a museum and a retrospective exhibition of his artworks (paintings, cinematography and poetry).
